Bollywood’s Year for Sequels: 2011

Loading ...Come 2011 and you should see a string of sequels lined up for release in Bollywood. In 2006, we saw some sequel movies like Dhoom 2, Don-The Chase Begins and Lage Raho Munnabhai-all three of them were successful. On 2011, you may see at least four sequels. The most awaited ones that release next year include Wanted 2, Partner 2, Dhoom 3 and Race 2.
Wanted which was the second biggest hit of 2009, after 3 Idiots, will have its sequel next year. The original team of the successful film will be in Wanted 2 and it is speculated that Ayesha Takia may drop out of it. ‘Wanted’ which was adapted from the Jagganath Puri’s Telugu hit, will possibly have its sequel releasing in both the languages next year.
Partner(2007) directed by David Dhawan was one of the last biggest hits of the director who is known for slapstick humor. It is learnt that both Salman and Govinda will be a part of this one, though the lead actresses may change. Dhoom 3 may just have Shahrukh Khan as the villain this time. Don 2, the sequel of the Farhan Akhtar blockbuster of 2006, will have changes in the cast, but Shahrukh Khan who is quite excited by the idea, and Priyanka Chopra, will remain.
