Ram Gopal Varma to Direct Surya in The Businessman

Loading ...Ram Gopal Varma and Jagannath Puri(the producer of Pokiri, remade into ‘Wanted’ starring Salman Khan) initially decided to make ‘Bhudda: Don’t F…K With Him’ but now they seem to have changed their minds and are focused on making a movie starring Surya, called The Businessman. Puri Jagannath says, It’s the story of a gangster’s journey from Chennai to Mumbai in three languages Hindi Tamil and Telugu.” Puri has written the screenplay of the film and it is not clear if Ramu will direct the film.
Since all three in the film, Surya, Jagannath Puri and Ram Gopal Varma do not know Hindi, they are still optimistic about making the film. Says Ramu, , “I’d have you know that Murugadoss who made Ghajini and Prabhu Deva who directed Wanted didn’t even know the Hindi alphabet and couldn’t speak a word of Hindi. I think we’ll manage quite well.”
Jagannath who is a cult name in Tollywood is now relocating to Mumbai to be well acquainted with Bollywood. He says, “Many years ago, I tried to crack the Hindi market with a film Shart starring Tusshar Kapoor. That was a disaster. So I see The Businessman as my true beginning in Bollywood.”
