Bipasha Basu Admits Being Topless in the 1999 Ad

The infamous Bipasha Basu topless ad that was released in Youtube circulated throughout the Internet so quickly that it turned out to the most talked about scandal in the week. The ad shows Bipasha Basu’s breast for a few seconds as she gets dressed up for her wedding. At one part, she is also shown aesthetically nude from behind. There is Vivek Oberoi featuring in the ad as a prince who marries her. The ad was for a lottery ad in the USA for a commany called, New York Lotto. The tagline of the ad is ‘All You Need is a Dollar and a Dream’ .

Bipasha Basu has been candid enough to admit that she was topless in the ad. Though she is angry at the mischief monger who has uploaded the ad, there is little she can do because the ad has become very viral. Bips admits that she was not aware that the unmentionable parts of her anatomy were also captured by the camera. “I was young and naïve and when I was told to turn towards the camera in the pose that eventually is in the ad, I did not understand anything about angles. In those days there was no monitor on the sets and I had no idea what was shot.” She continues, “Becoming an actor was not something I had even thought of. I was a kid in bohemia. Today as a mature woman working in India, I would never do such a shoot, not because I have double standards, but because such shots are just not part of our sensibility. It isn’t cool here.” You are Bipasha that it isn’t cool here but it is downright hot, with every part of media trying to lap it up for its audiences.

The ‘All the Best sensation’ says that she does not remember anything clearly about the ad “I have a very short memory and cannot remember anything that happened more than three years ago,” she laughs. Bipasha says that she has been thankful that neither her boyfriend not her family has been judgmental about the ad.” John is not hyper at all and neither are my parents. In fact, John told me I looked really hot in it. It is so wonderful to have a supportive boyfriend and parents.” The sultry beauty is quick to defend the ad, “It is a beautiful ad and I look great in it. It’s neither sleazy nor a porn. I am proud of the way I look in it.”

Bipasha Basu’s manager had earlier said, “Bipasha had done this ad in 1999 when she was modeling for Ford Modelling Agency in New York. It was done as an international assignment and was meant for the international market. I don’t know why such an old ad has surfaced now”
