Raavan to Premiere in London

Loading ...Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s much awaitd movie Raavan will have its world premiere in London, on June 16. The movie based on the lines of Ramayan has Abhishek Bachchan playing the role of an abductor called Beera who kidnaps Aishwarya Rai, who is married to Vikram. As the story moves ahead, Aishwarya Rai’s character begins to fall in love with her abductor. If insiders are to be believed, Aishwarya Rai has stolen the thunder with her performance and has given her career-best performance.
The film directed by Mani Ratnam and co-produced by Reliance Big Pictures is slated for June 18 release in India. Though it is a much awaited film in every right, trade circles are conscious because Kites, the other biggie turned to be a big flop.In fact, it has been evident that Raavan had toned down its publicity in the last few weeks because it didn’t want to create overhype something that killed Kites. Let’s hope Raavan lives up to the trusted Mani Rathnam-Rahman-Abhishek Bachchan association that has worked in movies like Guru and Yuva.
