Emraan Hashmi: Bollywood’s most bankable actor?

Loading ...Emraan Hashmi may play bad boy in his films but in real life, he gives the ‘feel good’ ‘be good’ vibes that is endearing. The actor has grown from strength to strength and he has been one actor apart from the Khans, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar to carry a film squarely on his shoulders, as we saw in Jannat. Also whenever he has been pitched with another actor, he either manages to outshine him or look as good. With Once Upon a Time being Emraan’s biggest hit, there were speculations that he would hike his price high, but the actor seems to be well-grounded and insightful about the whole money thing.
With his trademark smile, he says, “The industry has gone through a bleeding time and in such case The, for my own survival and a selfish need to stay on, I will only quote the kind of amount which I rightly deserve and also doesn’t burden the producer. I don’t see how I can bring a pay cheque back home and stay on to be happy about it even as the film is facing trouble.”
This is a stark comparison to other actors who are not half as successful as him but are asking for double the price, never mind that their movies do not even get a decent initial. Emraan says, “I guess whoever does that is really very short minded. It is stupid to forget about the film, once you get a huge sum of money. As an actor, you have to ensure that your film does well for your very own need. Give me a good film any day, other things will follow.” Emraan’s steely resolve and his knack of choosing roles that appeal to his fans and even get some more (fans) in the process, has made him a favorite of both the classes and the masses.
