Khichdi – The Movie’s Promotion Outside SRK’s House

The talented dialogue and screenplay writer, Aatish Kapadia, who wrote screenplay and dialogues of fims like Aankhen, Josh, Mann and Waqt: Race Against Time and the director of the highly acclaimed comedy series on TV, Khichdi; has made the movie version of his cult serial that has kept people rolling with laughter for so many years. Khichdi is the first Indian TV serial that will be made into a full-fledged feature film.

The movie will feature Supriya Pathak (step mother of Shahid Kapoor, in real life), Anang Desai, Girish Sahdev and Rajeev Mehta. The film had its promotional event outside SRK’s celebrated house Mannat, in Mumbai. The reason for choosing this place as the venue to flag the marketing of Khichdi-The Movie is to salute SRK’s contribution to TV serials and movies. He has been the best example of a TV actor who has turned into a Bollywood superstar. A huge crowd had gathered thinking SRK would step outside but that didn’t happen.

The cast and crew of Khichdi addressed the media and released the poster of the movie, saying, , “It’s symbolic. What Taj Mahal is to lovers, Shah Rukh’s house is the same for anyone moving from television to films…He is inspirational.”
