Raktha Charitha in Censorship Trouble

The censor board has been sharpening its scissors against derogatory language and excessive violence in films. The last victim was Aakrosh and now it has turned its attention towards Raktha Charitha, the RGV production. The ire of the censors is towards a quote from Mahabharata used in the film which is mentioned as ‘Revenge is the purest emotion’ in the posters of the film.

It is said that the censor board in Hyderabad have found an objection to this and have asked the makers of the film, Cinergy and Ram Gopal Varma, to remove this supposed reference to the Mahabharata. It can be a tough call for them because most posters have been already distributed; they will have to recall them and invest in fresh ones.
