Rohit Shetty to Direct Tamil Remake Next

After proving himself with All the Best and Golmaal series, Rohit Shetty will be leaving the comedy genre and doing serious action. He has decided to remake the 2010 Tamil super hit, Singam. The original film has Surya in the lead role; no prizes for guess, the Hindi remake will feature Rohit’s best friend Ajay Devgn. The film is being produced by Reliance Big Picture, which also co-produced the Tamil version.

Rohit confirmed “Yes my next film is the remake of Singam and stars Ajay Devgn. Right now, I am too busy with the release of Golmaal 3 and have not finalised on the actress and other cast members.” People may recall that Rohit had debuted with the action film Zameen before he changed gears and turned to comedy.
