Akshay Kumar Slams David Dhawan for his Tees Maar Khan Comments

At Anil Kapoor’s birthday party, director David Dhawan made some unsavory remarks about Akshay Kumar’s latest flop ‘Tees Maar Khan’. A source says “David Dhawan entered the party with his two thumbs down saying ‘Tees Maar Khan pit gayee’ His tone was rather loud as he announced that the reports of the film were not encouraging and that it was a really bad film. “

The news spread like wildfire among many people in the media and the film fraternity, and soon the atmosphere was abuzz with comments about the Farah Khan film. One of the guests, apparently told David that he should be saying such things considering Akshay Kumar is the lead actor of David Dhawan’s son Rohit’s film ‘Desi Boys’. The source further adds, “Akshay Kumar, apparently got wind of the news, and decided to put David in place. He had called the director and vented his displeasure for making such remarks. David admitted that he had made those statements and quietly apologized to Akshay.”

The source adds, “However, to be fair to David, the movie has not really been one of the best films and David has this gossiping bone in him. He says things in humor and not many people get offended by him, as he is known to make fun of films.” David however, has denied the news and said that he had not made any such statements. He says, “Why should I pass such remarks? Akshay is the hero of my son Rohit’s film. Why would I demean him? I am very close to him and would never run down his film. I am a father and involved with my son’s career.”
