Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’s Makers Distribute Profits to Blast Victims’ Families

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a roaring success but still the rejoicing is low-key as the city limps back to normalcy from the serial bomb-blasts that rocked Mumbai on July 13, 2011. The producers of the film and Kishore Lulla from Eros have decided to donate a part of the film’s profits to the victims of the blasts. It is learnt that Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kishore Lulla have decided to pool the collections of the Thursday evening from selected theaters and distribute them to the families of the blast victims. The selected theaters include Inox in Nariman Point, PVR in Juhu, Goregaon and Mulund, Fun Cinemas in Andheri, Kandivili, Kalyan, Chembur and Vashi; and Cinemax in Sion.

Ritesh Sidhwani says,, “We were all in a very low mood after the blasts. That is when we decided that it is time to do something for the city.Since the film is doing well, we can contribute significantly. We have selected 9-10 cinema halls across the city and the proceeds of the evening show on Thursday will go to the blast victims. Also, some of the multiplexes have come forward to offer a percentage of their share as well. Let’s hope we can do our best.”

Meanwhile Hrithik Roshan is mighty excited about making a sequel to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Though the director Zoya says that she may or may not make a sequel because it depended on the right content coming her way, HrithiK Roshan is not easily cowed down. The actor who is actually Zoya’s favorite was overheard saying, , “Only one guy gets married in ZNMD and we still have two bachelors left, so a sequel would be a good idea. Why not Zoya?”
