Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif’s new Cat Fight

It is said rightly that two actresses can never get along, not matter what front they keep in front of the media. Anushka Sharma, a favorite of Yash Raj Films banner is in news for her arguments with the banner’s new flavor, Katrina Kaif The two heroines who are not known to get along with each other, have also dragged their makeup artiste in the confrontation.

On Sunday afternoon, Katrina Kaif stirred the hornet’s nest once she learnt that her makeup artist was going to fly off to London for a two-day event with Anushka Sharma. Katrina, who was just about finishing the patch up shoot for her YRF film Mere Brother Ki Dulhann, made it clear that she wanted her makeup man here and not go abroad.

A source revealed,, “Subhash, the makeup artist has been working with Katrina since she did Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya and the cameo in RGV’s Sarkar. Of late, Subhash has also started working with Anushka Sharma..Since Katrina hadn’t hired him full time, it is the general thing to do among makeup artists to take up other assignments. Subhash had informed Katrina about his trip to London, 15 days back. He had told her that he was supposed to leave the country on the 8th of August with Anushka for a two-day event.”

He adds, “However, Katrina on Sunday refused to let Subhash go for the assignment since she had some urgent patchwork shoot to finish on Monday. Subhash informed Katrina and her manager Sandhya that he wouldn’t be able to cancel his trip to London since he had already got the visa and the tickets in place. But Katrina just wouldn’t let go of him. In fact, she called in the higher authorities.”

Katrina told the bosses at Yash Raj Films that it was not fair on her, because if the makeup artiste would fly off to London, she wouldn’t be able to complete the shoot of the remaining song. Matters reached the ears of the CEO Aditya Chopra, who had to intervene and call up Anushka Sharma who was in London. The source says, “When Adi learnt about it, he called up Anushka and asked her not to take the makeup artist Subhash along with her.”

This clearly is a power struggle and with Katrina proving that she is the queen of the industry, she felt relieved when matters went her way. The makeup man of course, was not happy because he felt that he was forced into being unprofessional. To add to the woes, the patchwork that led to the argument in the first place, got cancelled and the makeup man’s time was wasted.

“Poor Subash lost out the London assignment as well. Anushka was very upset about having to go to London without a makeup man,” said the source, “She went on with another guy to help her with the makeup. Anushka Sharma has been a YRF discovery. And Katrina is the hot favourite in the camp right now. Apart from Mere Brother, she is also doing Yash Chopra’s directorial next with Shah Rukh Khan. It is clearly a war for supremacy within the biggest production house of Bollywood.”
