Shilpa Shetty’s Husband Approves of Sex Scenes in her Film

Shilpa Shetty’s forthcoming film, ‘Desire: A Journey of a Woman’ is laced with a lot of steamy, lovemaking scenes with actor Xia Yu. She plays an Oddisi dancer in the film that has been produced by her mother. When hubby Raj Kundra saw the film, he not only approved of the love-making scenes in the film, he also thought that Shilpa was brilliant in the film.

Shilpa says, “I have no qualms doing those scenes with Xia Hu, as those were integral to the film and were done aesthetically. But I was nervous when Raj saw the film last week. I remember I got married three days later to Raj after I shot those scenes and I was a bit worried about how Raj would find them. But luckily for me as the scenes have been tastefully shot and Raj liked the scenes. Not just that he even added that it was one of the best performances of my career as Gautami (her character in the film). I was immensely relieved! His approval is very important to me. The scenes are not steamy or anything remotely vulgar at all but shot beautifully to highlight the romance between Xia and me.”

In the film, Xia Hu is an internationally renowned Chinese painter who is besotted with Gautami and there are several passionate scenes that move the story forward. Shilpa says, “It’s a beautiful love story between Xia and me. The film traces Gautami’s journey through a number of years and the passion between the two characters is almost like a painting. I would say that it’s my character Gautami, who is bold, and not the scenes.”
