We Are Family is a movie that neither makes a mark as an emotionally tugging movie nor moves you with any sense of warmth. Yes, the director Siddarth Malhotra does make you cry by the end of the film, as promised, but the tears are more for the money you’ve spent watching this film.
Story of We are Family: Arjun Rampal is divorced and his kids live with his ex wife Kajol (Maya). He is now in a relationship with Shreya(Kareena Kapoor), a glamorous puss who has second thoughts about meeting Arjun’s kids. The movie is mostly about how Kareena adjusts to the kids and how they...

Nagesh Kukunoor’s Aashayein may have been stuck for release for 2 years but if the film is good and is not really outdated, it can still be appreciated. The movie has a simple story but what make it endearing is the script and the performance of John Abraham
Story of Aashayein: Chain smoking Rahul is in for good luck and extreme bad luck. The day he wins a fortune at the lottery, he comes to know that he is suffering from terminal lung cancer. Though he has a live-in girlfriend (Sonal Sehgal) who wants to marry him and live-in with him, Rahul has left her in his mind, he is lost...

Hello Darling is a sad attempt at comedy. In a garb to show women power, there is plenty of skin show, obscenity galore and a lot of not-so-funny jokes on bodily functions. The uninspired chick flick is a remake of the Hollywood satire ‘Nine to Five’ but this one is not even 25 percent as good as the original one. In fact, there was a Tamil movie called ‘Magalir Mattum’ made in 1994 which was far better. This should definitely jar your brain cells but if you insist, here goes the lame story
Story of Hello Darling: There are three women, with different personalities...

Lafangey Parindey is a brilliant love-story; a relief to see a good true-blue romantic movie after a long time. Most horror films scream a lot but die a silent death due to lack of execution. Help that was in news for Mugdha Godse’s white bikini, also needs a lot of help when it comes to execution. The movie does have its share of chills but just when you want to get more, the makers sink to the done to death formula of asking the supernatural power to help.
Story of Help:
Pia(Mughda Godse) is the spouse of film-maker Vic(Bobby Deol). They have a not exactly happy married relationship; there comes a point in time when the couple has to rush to Mauritius as Pia’s father has had a heart...

Gangster movies, if they are well-made are always loved by the people. The murky tale, the thrills, the drama and performances that we have seen in movies like Deewar Satya, Vaastav, Shootout at Lokhandwala and even a love story like Gangster has always sought repeat viewing. The same magic happens with Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai. It recreates an era of the 80s which laid the foundation for underworld dons to enter in Mumbai.
In the story of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, we see how the mafia makes Mumbaai its home. A thriller that shows how two youths rise up to the level of dons in the...

Khatta Meetha , the remake of the Malayalam superhit, “Vellanakalude Nadu”, also by the same director Priyadarshan is definitely a good entertainer. Akshay Kumar plays his most career defining role so far as Sachin Tichkule, who is a struggling contractor living in a family of brothers who are making their own by feeding the bureaucrats and politicians. Sachin, the black sheep of the family fails when he tries to do right and fails yet, again when he does things wrong. He has to also look after his laborers who work for him; one of them is Rajpal Yadav who always puts him in...

Red Alert-The War Within is a brilliant movie that touches the burning issues of waging war of naxalites in the country. Watch it for its brilliant script and a provoking narrative.
What works for Red Alert-The War Within: Since it deals with India’s most burning issue in present times, it makes more sense to watch this amazing movie more than ever now. The script of the movie by Aruna Raje is splendid as much is the direction by Ananth Mahadevan. It is a courageous film that not explores the tough terrain of the landscape but breezes easily through the murky controversies that surround...

I Hate Luv Storys is a story that does not offer anything new in terms of content and goes the pure love story way. Karan Johar’s latest offering is aimed directly at teens, early 20 somethings and hopeless romantics. But then even love stories can be interesting, which I Hate Luv Storys isn’t it.
Story of I Hate Luv Storys: In I Hate Luv Storys, Karan Johar indulges in his trade mark self-deprecating humor and gives a movie the opportunity to extract a few laughs at this expense. Jai(Imran Khan) works for Veer Chopra, a director who is known for making formula super-hits. The...
