Two of the most talented actresses in the country, Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan are not really interested in social networking sites like Twitter or Facebook. May be it is the fear of overexposure or not interested in leaking personal details, both the girls have decided to be off these two sites. Priyanka Chopra, their contemporary has the maximum number of Twitter followers in Bollywood, followed by SRK.
All the top ranking Bollywood male actors with the exception of Aamir Khan, are on Twitter: Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan. But what about the sex y sirens Vidya Balan and Katrina Kaif? Vidya Balan says, “Wiith due respect to the popularity of these two sites, I am not really active on them because I like to interact with people offline. I already have so many people in real life to interact with.”
Despite so many fake accounts in her name, Katrina Kaif does not care much about Twitter or Facebook. Katrina Kaif says, “I don’t understand this. Aren’t stars supposed to be exclusive? Or should they be so accessible that everything in their life should be out in the open? From what they eat to what they drink to what they wear… I can’t bring myself to this. That’s the reason why I am not on Facebook or Twitter. Why would people spend money to watch stars on screen, when anyone and everyone could connect with them so easily?”
This may sound a bit rude, but the lady has a point. After all, different strokes work for different people. Though there is a lot of fun and interaction with stars sharing their lives with fans, too much of personal information can be detrimental to their image too.
