A love making sequence in Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti that involves Arjun Rampal and a theater actress turned out to be so explicit that it is belived that the actress requested the director to keep her name out of the credits. In fact, the scene has been so steamy and embarrassing that the sequence has been deleted from the film before it was submitted to the censor-board. Since the censor board already had issues with the movie’s political sequences, it was good that this erotic scene was removed from the film
Arjun Rampal was believed to hav been shocked after seeing the scene on the camera after the shot was canned. Both the director and the actor felt that they had gone too far and had to leave it out of the film. A source says that Jha had mentioned to Arjun, “Yeh thoda zyada ho gaya” The actress too embarrassed to speak is believed to have mentnioed to the director to keep her name off the credits. Arjun too believes that this scene will not go well down with his wife and daughters and had asked for a re-shoot.
If sources are to be believed, the scene involves a female electoral candidate’s willingness to any level to get an election ticket and approaches Arjun with a ‘favor’ for this. “The scene was supposed to start with the girl seducing Arjun but they ended up making passionate love” says the source. Prakash Jha confirms, “Yes, we have removed the love-making scene but we have included it in the DVD version.”
