Ranbir Kapoor Not to Dance in Rockstar
Ranbir Kapoor may be the complete entertainer for Bollywood, but you won’t be able to see one of his best talents-dancing, in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar. Yes, he will do the head bangs and play the guitar like a frenzied rock star but he will not be really dancing as such. This is because the director feels that Ranbir should not be shaking a leg in the film because it is contrary to the image of a true-blue rockstar.
Ranbir will be essaying the role of Jim Morrison fan. So you will not be seeing any jhatkas that are a staple thing in Bollywood choreography. A source adds that Imtiaz Ali did not want Ranbir to look out of character at all for the film. The source adds, “There is a song with his co-star Nargis Fakhri, but whether he will dance remains a mystery. Imtiaz is yet to figure out the ‘dancing’ aspect of his film. At the moment they have shot for a gypsy song with montages of Ranbir coming in.”
Ranbir meanwhile is taking guitar lesson to look every part like a guitarist. He has also been going through some videos of rockstars so that he can get the look and the style apt to his character. But we wouldn’t really have minded Ranbir shaking his leg and doing a jig, wot say?
