We all know about the super-success of Dabangg and the contribution of Malaika Arora’s spicy item number ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ that made the movie a repeat watch. But the famous song and the makers were in for a bit of a stumble, when the makers of Zandu Balm decided to file a case against producer Arbaaz Khan for using the term ‘Zandu Balm’ in the chartbuster song.
The matter however is now sorted amicably with Malaika Arora agreeing to endorse Zandu for the pain-relieving brand. Arbaaz confirmed the development, “Yes…we’ve arrived at a mutual understanding with the makers of Zandu Balm. With the song gaining such huge popularity, we’ve now decided to come up with a special ad featuring Malaika promoting both our film Dabangg and their brand Zandu Balm. In addition, Malaika would also be endorsing the brand Zandu Balm individually in the future. Both parties didn’t want to get into any sort of unnecessary legal hassles and felt that an out-of-court settlement was the best option.”
It is believed that ad film-maker Prahlad Kakkar was responsible for bringing both the parties to an amicable settlement.
