Salman – Aishwarya Breakup Still Affects a Lot of Films
Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s breakup which may have happened nearly a decade ago, in an unpleasant manner has left scars that still do not heal. Aishwarya Rai is now married to Abhishek Bachchan and Salman Khan is still very close to his ex-girlfriend, Salman Khan. Now, Sallu and Ash do not see eye to eye, but this is something that is going to affect Ash’s films.
Salman Khan is today, not the hottest star in films but also in the television. Bigg Boss hosted by him is going great guns and everyone in Bollywood knows that there cannot be a bigger platform than this reality show to promote their films.
Salman who is more than happy to let filmmakers promote their films on Bigg Boss, has refused to promote Aishwarya Rai starrer Guzaarish on the show. He has refused to entertain Guzaarish team(read Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai) to the Bigg Boss house. Though talks are on, everyone knows that Sallu always has his way. A source from Guzaarish team says,, “Bigg Boss is huge in popularity. Of course, we were keen that we be seen there, but in today’s day and age it’s not the end all and be all. There are several ways to promote a film these days. Also, the major strength lies not in how well you promote your movie, but how good the movie really is, and Bhansali is damn sure of the quality of his product.”
The other big reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Ash’s father-in-law, superstar Amitabh Bachchan, is going to be used as a platform to promote Action Replayy, the Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai starrer. But Ash has refused to appear on the show because the proceeds on the show will be donated by Akshay Kumar to Salman Khan’s NGO, Being Human, whom he is very close to.
Someone from Action Replayy’s team insists, “Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah did appear on KBC. So our objective was met. The movie was promoted. No one’s complaining,” but he did not explain or comment on why Ash really didn’t appear on the game show!
