Yash Chopra won the “Asian Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinema” honor to his long list of well-regarded achievements on Tuesday, October 26, in London. This felicitation comes close to the prolific director being felicitated with the “Swiss Ambassador’s Award 2010” for his contribution in promoting ‘Brand Switzerland’ through his movies, last week.
The talented director Gurinder Chadhra presented the award to Yash Chopra. The Awards honor excellence and talents from different fields; from arts to business, from sports to technology. Among other luminaries who won the awards, Ratan Tata, A.R.Rahman, Vijay Mallya, Sunil Mittal. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan wont the Lifetime Achievement Award. The other guests at the award function were people like Jermaine Jackson, Nasser Hussain OBE, Gurinder Chadha, Christian Louboutin and singer Sonu Nigam. Britain’s Deputy PM Nick Clegg was also present in the proceedings. .
