2011 to be a Very Good Year for Shah Rukh Khan

Some or the other Khan has always been ruling the roost for quite some time now. Aamir Khan had an amazing 2009, when his 3 Idiots became the highest grossing Bollywood movie in Bollywood. In 2010, Salman Khan was the number one Bollywood star who ruled the television as well. He won all appreciation for his king-size performance in Dabangg as well as his hosting of the hit reality show Bigg Boss. While these two Khans have been going great guns, Shah Rukh Khan has been lying low. In 2010, he scored a hit with My Name is Khan, and thereafter, he was hardly around. But things are going to change for the better, for King Khan in 2011.

Shah Rukh Khan was out of India for a fair part of 2010 as he was shooting for two of his upcoming films. For the first part of the year, he was in London, shooting for Ra.One and the second half was spent shooting in Germany. SRK’s Ra. One, a sci-fi thriller is just about ready and will be released in the month of June in 2011. In December next year, Don 2 will probably clash with Aamir Khan’s untitled thriller; definitely an interesting prospect.

2011 actually begins on a good note for SRK as he will be hosting ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ on NDTV Imagine, a water-based game reality show adapted from the famous US reality show ‘Total Wipeout’ This game show features thirty reality show celebrities who were seen in the previous seasons of Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. Meanwhile the buzz is Shah Rukh Khan still has a lot in store for his fans; he has signed a romantic movie, based on the Chetan Bhagat best seller ‘2 States-Story of My Life’ , to be directed by none other than Vishal Bharadwaj. The ‘My Name is Khan’ star is also in talks with Rohit Shetty to direct a comedy that will star him in the lead role. So, for those who have been thinking of writing SRK’s obituary, picture abhi baaki hain mere dost!
