Vidya Balan to Reveal Lot of Skin for “The Dirty Picture”

Vidya Balan knew that she had to pile on weight for the Dirty Picture where she will play the role of the late B-grade actress Silk Smitha in Milan Luthriya’s Dirty Picture, to be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Vidya Balan is said to have freaked out when she came to know of the dresses that she had to wear in the film. She has to wear a lot of petticoats that will show her belly and cleavage, low neck outfits, petticoats and hot pants. Plus Vidya has to add some weight at her thighs and his, a lot of which will be revealed in the film.

Though she was a bit shaken up with the first sketches, Vidya asked the director Luthriya that the outfits had to reach at least 30 days before she begins shooting so that she can get comfortable with her characters The fashion designer Niharika Khan who is charge of Vidya’s outfits for the film has said that the role of the protagonist will have wearing her usual clothes, then the dress of the star and then the outfits that mirror her downfall. Confirms Niharika, “I am working as fast as I can. There is bound to be a lot of skin show where her legs and stomach will be bare.”

Ekta, the producer of the film says, “Well, there are two sizes that Vidya will be seen in. One is the thinner one, the other one is where she will have to put on weight.” Luthriya says, “Vidya Balan needs to get bolder in her performance and physicality. Bolder in body and in mind. This is not kid stuff. My film will have a naked look that we have been whispering about.”
