Delhi Belly is in news for its shocking marketing strategy; and the reactions have been pretty much divided. While some are pretty embarrassed and shocked at the way certain things are shown in the film, the other section finds it cool. One of the most famous ones is the song ‘DK Bose’, a rage; that is believably, a play of words on the Hindi cuss word.
The film produced by Aamir Khan, also has made a dig on Mithun Chakraborty; where Vir Das dressed up as the yesteryear superstar, will be shown making the trademark pelvic thrusts while manhandling a woman in the song ‘Jaa Chudail’. The third track is a take on the Ghazal maestro, Pankaj Udhas; called ‘Nukkadwale Disco’.
Another promo of the film that is recently benn shot has Imran Khan mouthing maa-behen gaalis to his famous ‘maamujaan’ Aamir Khan. A source says that is all in good humor. She says, “It’s all in fun. But it will shock Aamir’s and Imran’s fans. Aamir has always been known to be this no-nonsense guardian-like figure to Imran. And we presume that his nephew is afraid to some extent of his uncle. Therefore, to see him let off a chain of maa-behen gaalis to Aamir is quite a shock.”
Aamir Khan, the producer of the film, is cool with it and wants the potential audience to know that this movie is not for the purists or the squeamish. The source continues, “The whole idea of the music videos and the trailer in question is to give clarity to the audience about what the film is about.”
