Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra in Ra. One

The cat is out of the bag. While we know that the hottest release of 2011 Ra.One has Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, there were talks about two other superstars also in the films, whose identity were kept under wraps. One of them is none other than Sanjay Dutt. He will be a part of some action packed cameos in the film; some of them will feature him opposite Shah Rukh Khan

A source close to Shah Rukh says, “Sanju appeared in a song in Om Shanti om but did not work with SRK. Khan felt that Ra.One needed some more drama and fun element. Anubhav Sinha and he were discussing whom to take on board and they happened to go through Sanjay Dutt’s recent profile for Agneepath. He had beefed up his body for Agneepath and they felt that he would be the right person for the cameo.

Next, Shah Rukh asked his close friend Priyanka Chopra to come aboard too. She will not be having any romantic scenes in the film against SRK; Priyanka and Sanjay will purely have action-oriented roles. The three of them, SRK, Priyanka and Sanjay have been penciled in for a stylish action sequence. Though Priyanka has gone out of her way to be a part of the SRK film, Sanjay Dutt’s dates were blocked for Agneepath. But since Shah Rukh’s best friend Karan Johar is the producer of Agneepath, he graciously gave Dutt’s dates for Ra.One.

SRK considers Sanjay Dutt as his favorite actor and brother, and has a lot of affection for him. A source says, “Sanju is very excited about doing such hard-hitting action again and has been giving his inputs to the scenes.” Initially the two of them were to shoot for just a day, but now they have extended it by a couple of days as SRK and Anubhav want Sanju to do some great action scenes.
