Raveena Tandon is all set to romance a man seven years younger than her, in her come-back film as a lead heroine in Shobana 7 Nights. The talented actress actually started her second innings with Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap in a small but impactful role, where she even got to do an item number.
In Shobana 7 Nights, Raveena plays the role of an abused, battered wife who finds love in the arms of a younger man. The movie is directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyaya, who earlier made Pankh starring Bipasha Basu and Maradona Rebello.
Shobana 7 Nights is about struggling Bollywood actors and models who turn to being gigolos to earn extra money. Raveena plays a 40 something columnist and author who finds intimacy and love in a younger man, a struggler. He ends up spending nights with her and becomes her boy-toy.
Amit Purohit will play the role of the struggler while the husband’s role will be essayed by Rohit Roy. Raveena apparently had freaked out on attempting lovemaking scenes and she found the character bold as well. But when she came to know that the scenes would be shot aesthetically, she obliged. After watching Sudipto’s earlier film Pankh and going though her role in Shobhana 7 Nights, Raveena readily agreed to jump in the shoes of the humiliated wife which finds solace in the arms of a gigolo.
