Salman Khan was in his candid, outspoken mood when he went to attend a television awards ceremony on Monday evening. He was supposed to give awards to physically challenged achievers, and while doing so, he asked a visually impaired girl if she had seen ‘Black’. Before she could reply, Sallu went on a Sanjay Leela Bhansali bashing spree. He said, “Jaake usko milo. Voh tumhare pe picture bana dega, khud khoob kamayega, lekin tumko kuch nahin dega.” (Go and meet him, he’ll make a film on you. He’ll make pots of money but won’t pay you a dime).
A source says that Salman did not mince his words and was very vocal about his disapproval for the director. He went on to say that even a mosquito did not watch the director’s ill-fated Guzaarish. He said, “Arre, usme toh makhi udd rahi thi, lekin koi machhar bhi nahi gaya dekhne. Arre, koi kutta bhi nahin gaya,” (there is a fly shown buzzing in the fly but not even a mosquito went to watch the film). When asked if he would even work with the director, Salman said, Nah. Apan Dabangg se khush hain.” (I am quite happy with Dabangg).
Why all of a sudden, is this ire of Sallu directed at Sanjay Leela Bhansali? This is possibly because the actor had gifted Bhansali a DVD of The Prestige. But instead of taking him in the film, he took Hrithik Roshan, which seemed to have peeved Salman. He was known to be a close friend to the director, having worked on Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and had also done a special appearance on Saawariya.
