Rishi Kapoor may have had a bone of contention with Karan Johar, for supposedly instigating Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for bitching against his son Ranbir in the ‘Koffee with Karan show’, but nothing can come in the way of professionalism for this evergreen romantic actor.
Rishi is ‘look testing’ for the negative character that he is going to play in KJO’s Agneepath. He is doing so to show his professionalism for the director. He had not really done such a thing in his 40 year career. According to sources, Rishi has said that if he does not feel that he has got the look to be the ‘villain’ in the film, then he will walk out. Confirms Rishi, “Yes, I’ve voluntarily asked for a looks test to see whether I will be convincing in a mean part. If I look convincing I’d be confident enough to plunge into the baddie’s persona”
Rishi feels he looks too romantic and soft to play a negative character. Says the actor, “This is the first time in my entire career that I’m doing a looks test. Earlier for Lamhe, Yash Chopra had desisted from asking me to do a looks test thinking I’d feel bad. (Anil Kapoor bagged the precious part). Aisa kuch nahin hai. Kaam mera priority hai. Work is worship and no egos should come in the way.” Interesting, there are two villains in Agneepath-Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor.
